It was 2009, Ben and I left our four very young children with a good friend, and headed off for an adult-only Wine Country escape! We had never gone wine tasting before and were pretty excited. While at Clos du Bois in Geyserville, California we noticed in their tasting room, they used Demijohns as lighting! It was gorgeous - the photo just doesn't do it any justice. Fast forward almost 12 years and I'm finally sharing what I wanted to tell the world, all those years ago, and that is: Think outside of the winebox and use Demijohns as a form of art! Sure, they are wonderful vessels for fermentation (wine, kombucha, vinegar...) but you can also turn a Demijohn into a something amazing! Check out these photos for some inspiration! If you have used a Demijohn for something unique, send me a photo! NapaFermentationLisa@gmail.com

AuthorLisa Jaynes- Wife to Ben, Mom to 4 Humans and 2 Fur Babies. I was just shy of 3 years old when Napa Fermentation Supplies opened in our original location on Soscol Avenue in Napa. Apparently, it didn't take very long to find out that I needed to be in daycare, as I was a bit too much to keep at the store during business hours. Luckily, that has changed and 38 years later, I'm here working as Web Designer, Accounting/Office Manager, Customer Service Relations and every day I'm learning more about the industry. I was a stay at home Mom, home daycare provider & nanny for most of my Children's younger years. I love art, photography, gardening, cooking (on my terms!), Disneyland, camping, the ocean, crafting, but mostly, I love being a Mom! Archives |
